Mozart Distillerie is based in Salzburg - which is also the birthplace of composer Wolfgang Amadeus, hence the brand name.
Set up in the mid 1950s, Mozart don't just use his name, however. Their liqueurs are rested in stainless steel tanks that have loudspeakers attached to them, and from which Mozart's music is played for 24 hours - the technique is called 'sound-milling' and although it sounds absolutely bonkers there is actually scientific thought that liquids can actually store some kind information in this way.
Sugar beet distillate is used as a base spirit, with Belgian chocolate and Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar provide rich, authentic flavours. Cream from Holland is also used - believe it or not Dutch cream is some of the best in the world.
The Dark Chocolate Liqueur is the only release from the range that doesn't use cream - and as such is vegan and lactose- and gluten-free. It's stunning sipped neat, with just the right level of bitter dark notes without being drying or harsh. There's even notes of salted caramel and just a touch of a smoky herbal note - it's almost unnoticeable but really adds an extra dimension. It's a fantastic cocktail base too - try in an XOXO with equal parts of this, amaretto, PX sherry and Bourbon whiskey.

Shipping rates are based on WEIGHT of goods - the total weight of your order will determine the cost of the shipping charge due to price banding imposed by Royal Mail. Orders weighing up to a max of 2kg will be charged £5.99, and orders weighing over 2kg will be charged £7.99. ANY PURCHASE OVER £150 WILL RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING.
PLEASE NOTE: The Spirit Specialist is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays - all orders are collected by Royal Mail the day after they are packaged up. As such, if you place an order on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, your order will be packaged up on the following Tuesday at re-opening, and then collected by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE WORKING TO A DEADLINE!

All orders are sent on a Tracked service with Royal Mail, which provides a Tracking Number for you to follow its journey to your destination.

All products are securely packaged in Air-Shock bottle bags or frankly excessive amounts of bubble wrap for additional protection.
All goods must be examined at the time of delivery and any damages or shortage must be recorded on the relevant delivery acceptance forms with the delivery. Un-examined or un-checked goods that result in a subsequent claim outside of a 48 hour period will not be accepted. Queries relating to claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the goods, otherwise claims cannot be guaranteed.
